The heart exercises every day - day in day out, while you sleep, while you're not paying attention. People are more concerned about getting their "cardio" in then getting the nutrition to the heart to help support its daily activity. Yes, the heart needs nutrients and foods and love and attention too, people. Otherwise you will have an organ, the most important one in your life slowly breaking down and eventually not working in your favor.
Vitamin C is a VERY important vitamin for the heart. A reduced amount can lead to (as Dr. DT Quigley stated) physical weakness shortness of breath, rapid respiration, rapid heart action and the disease of blood vessels and heart. Valvular involvement also arises from infection and deterioration of the cardiac tissue due to the insufficiency of Vitamin C. The adrenals will fatigue and not pump the necessary hormones to help it work.
Vitamin B deficiency results in the loss of tone, edema, loss of proper nervous control of the circulatory system. Overall energy goes down of EVERY SINGLE CELL in the body.
Currently vitamin A and D are over-pushed for heart and bone health and there is a negligence of these more important members: B & C.
